Qualifying for the European Endurance Prototype Cup was an eventful affair at Magny-Cours. In Q1, the N°28 MV2S suffered a major accident, resulting in the first red flag. The tire wall had to be repaired, and the first session did not restart. With less than seven minutes played, several drivers had not had time to exploit their cars' full potential. In Q2, Alim Geshev was trapped on the 180°. The N°24 TS Corse came to a standstill in the gravel, interrupting the session once again. On the restart, contact with another competitor sent the N°21 DB Autosport into the gravel trap at the same point.

Despite these setbacks, the Mugello polemen did it again. In NP02, Jonathan Thomas and Thomas Imbourg made the most of their consistency to top the standings. Fourth overall, the guest team of Mathias Beche and Adrien Bastide finished second.

Two Graffs were up front. The N°8 (Loris Kyburz, Rémy Deguffroy, Kévin Rabin) and N°9 (Eric Trouillet, Luis Sanjuan, David Droux) will certainly have their cards to play. COGEMO N°154 (Jesse Bouhet, Antoine Lacoste, Kai Askey) also showed their speed.

Inter Europol's three Silvers got the job done in LMP3. Pedro Perino, Dane Arendsen and Romain Favre took pole position in the class. Nicolas Prost and Gwenaël Delomier brought the CMR Ginetta up to second place.

Despite a few minor scares, Team Virage finished in the top-4. The N°1 of Georgios Kolovos, Axel Gnos and Sacha Lehmann beat the N°88 of Jacek Zielonka, Raphael Narac and Daniel Macia. Reiter Engineering finished fifth, but further back in the pack. The start of the 4H de Magny-Cours takes place at 5.40pm. You can follow the race on the Ultimate Cup Series YouTube channel.
