Heartbreak for some, immense joy for others! The outcome of the 4H de Magny-Cours was decided in the final minutes. Starting from pole position, the N°5 CD Sport had done everything right, but ran out of fuel, shattering their dream of victory. A cold shower that handed success to the sister car, the N°4 of Maxence Maurice, Louis Maurice and Christophe Carrière.

The race started behind the safety car, so that the drivers could get their bearings in precarious visibility conditions. Once underway, the N°5 NP02 and the N°34 Inter Europol LMP3 immediately took the lead. Once the rain had stopped, night fell in the Nièvre region. The strategy, based on more stops in the first two thirds of the race, enabled CD Sport to place two cars in the fight for the podium.

In the final hour, heavy showers returned to the track. In a fog of water, Iko Segret (ANS Motorsport) was trapped and crashed out. With the N°71 car stuck in the gravel trap, race management called out the safety car just 25 minutes before the chequered flag. The last quarter of an hour promised to be spectacular.

On the restart, Jonathan Thomas broke away. CD Sport was on course for a one-two finish, as Rémy Deguffroy's stop (Graff N°8) propelled Louis Maurice into second place. But on the penultimate lap of the race, the N°5 car was slowed down in the second sector. Running out of fuel, the South African and his teammate, Thomas Imbourg, realized that they would not win a second time in 2024 after their success at Hockenheim.

Promoted to leader, Louis Maurice faced one of the greatest challenges of his young career: not making a mistake in the final moments. He never wavered, taking his father, Maxence, and Christophe Carrière to the top step of the podium. Victims of all kinds of problems since the start of the season, the trio were very emotional in the parc fermé.

David Droux, Eric Trouillet and Luis Sanjuan (Graff) finished second after a well-executed race. Despite a few minor errors, Nicolas Maulini and Jacques Wolff helped Racing Spirit of Léman to a podium finish. The N°27 MV2S Racing (Christophe Cresp, Pierre-Alexandre Provost) and the N°555 COGEMO (Arnold Robin, Denis Caillon, Philippe Thirion), winner of the NP02 Ultimate, finished in the top-5.

The N°7 Graff, which crashed at the end of the first hour of the race, nevertheless managed to reach the finish. Championship leaders James Winslow and John Corbett crossed the line in sixteenth place.

With three Silvers lining up, Inter Europol were the favorites in their category. Despite a 2:11 penalty at each stop, Pedro Perino, Dane Arendsen and Romain Favre assumed their status. The N°34 drivers carried the Polish team to victory in LMP3, their first of the season.

For the second time in succession, Team Virage was beaten. Nevertheless, Philippe Gautheron and Julien Gerbi's team once again produced a strong collective result. The N°88 of Jacek Zielonka, Raphaël Narac and Daniel Macia came second, ahead of the N°1 of Georgios Kolovos, Sacha Lehmann and Axel Gnos.

Fourth place went to CMR's N°12 Ginetta (Nicolas Prost, Gwenaël Delomier), its best result of the year. The N°24 TS Corse (Alim Geshev, George King, Nathan Kumar) rounded off the top-5 after a tricky race.
